I was 14 when he …
I was 14 when he did this. I remember seeing him on the news being hauled away in handcuffs. I just watched the movie and it was absolutely amazing. Especially in light of the fact that the towers are now gone. I’m so glad I had the opportunity to see them and go up to the observation deck before 9/11. I believe his experience must have been akin to landing on the moon.

I saw the film on the BBC. I was spellbound! That morning Phillipe achieved something beyond art and showmanship. The images from this film will stay in your mind forever. The film itself is a fitting memorial to the Twin Towers.

A man did something on that day which was beyond art – something people usually have to interpret and discuss the meaning of, while “man on wire” was simply beautiful, prancing with death.
But since you cannot understand how thats even worth £19 I’m sure you’ll understand this: u r a fag. lol

what ever happened to Jean Luis, Phillipe’s best friend. It seemed that he was overwhelmed at the end of the movie with grief. Is there any information on their relationship today?? Or if their relationship soured after the walk?

i was lucky to meet PP in 1977 when i was also a street performer in nyc. he was the best i ever saw, one day he even threw some coins in my hat and said i was very good,which of course meant more.
